We have observed across decades as rightwing evangelical churches turned the Jesus we were raised with into exactly the opposite of who we understood him to be. In the 1950s it was restrained through watering down – Protestant Christianity was so dominant that it basically blessed current circumstances.
A Battle for the Finest Among Us
